Judiciary Committee, Alaska State Senate
The Judiciary Committee is a standing committee of the Alaska State Senate.
Per the Uniform Rules, committees of the Alaska State Senate are assigned by the Committee on Committees. The Committee on Committees is appointed and chaired by the presiding officer and has five members. Committees are assigned after each election. What constitutes a quorum for committees is not defined.[1]

Function
According to Uniform Rule 20-a, the Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction over "the programs and activities of the Alaska Court System and the Department of Law, and the legal and substantive review of bills referred to it for that purpose."[2]

Senator Lora Reinbold (R) was removed from the Judiciary Committee on April 19, 2021. She was replaced as chair by Sen. Roger Holland (R).[3]
