  • Money allocated for education must be spent in the classroom on students for individualized education.
  • In order to make Utah an attractive place for veterans and seniors, we need to adjust taxation on retirement pay. In the last 23 years inflation has eaten away at retirement credit.
  • Tax policy reforms are necessary but should be addressed individually. Tax policy should not protect corporate profits at the expense of Utah families, education, and small business.

Growing up as a kid in Orange County, California, my parents hosted a luncheon for Nixon's vice-presidential campaign. I remember Pat Nixon was a guest in our home. She was there talking about her husband. I was five years old and remember it vividly. This event made me realize that being involved in political action was very important. Community involvement is something that was instilled in my by my parents when I was young and continues to this day.
