Judith H. Wizmur
Judith H. Wizmur was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of New Jersey. She was appointed in 1985, and reappointed to a second term in 1999. Wizmur was appointed chief judge of the Bankruptcy Court of the District of New Jersey in August 2005.[1] Wizmur retired on May 16, 2014.[2]
Education
Judge Wizmur received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden.[1][3]
Career
Wizmur had a state clerkship with the Honorable Michael Patrick King, J.A.D., and several years of private practice, she served as an administrative law judge and a workers compensation judge in the state of New Jersey, and as assistant director of the Division of Motor Vehicles. She served as the chair of the Bankruptcy Judges Advisory Group to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and has served on the advisory committee on Bankruptcy Rules of the Judicial Conference.[1]
