Judith L. Duckett is a judge of the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She has served as a judge on the court since October 1, 2009.[1][2] Duckett ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Duckett ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 19.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Phyllis Balzer Beardmore, Rose Brooks, Mike Jacobs (Maryland), Michael J. Ragland, Sr., Alan Rzepkowski, Valerie Vollmers, and incumbent Judge Nancy Phelps. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats. 
General: She faced Alan Rzepkowski, Nancy B. Hirshman, and incumbent Judge Nancy Phelps in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 28.8 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats. [3][5] 

2010

Duckett was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County along with Nancy Phelps and Gordon Witherspoon, in the general election on November 2, 2010. She received 28.29% of the vote.[6]

Career

Duckett previously worked as a coordinator of continuing education at Anne Arundel Community College from 1979 to 1990.[7]
