|Judy is an active member of Acworth Community and has served on the Acworth Budget Committee since March 2014. She is Secretary of the Acworth Community Project, which operates the Acworth Village Store. Judy writes two monthly columns for the Acworth Newsletter about news from the Acworth Village Store and what is happening at the State House in Concord. Judy is currently President of the Acworth Woman’s Club. Judy volunteers for the Acworth Memorial Park project which seeks to honor Acworth resident veterans past and present since 1766.
As a NH State Representative, Judy serves as Chair of the Environment and Agriculture Committee. She has proudly served her constituents with 100% attendance rate, never missing a committee meeting or a House Session. As a member of the Sullivan County Delegation, Judy is the chair of the Executive Finance Committee which makes recommendations regarding the county budget and other financial matters, working in conjunction with the county commissioners, county manager and members of the county delegation.
Judy enjoys gardening and creating delicious food in her kitchen. She lives with her husband, their dog, two mischievous kittens, and a flock of chickens. The Arons have been married for 46 years and have 3 grown children.- I have worked hard to represent the needs of our small towns, as well as our farmers, and small businesses. I have sponsored and passed legislation to support our infrastructure, obtain more funding and support, and eliminate cumbersome regulations. I support our timber industry and I cosponsored and helped to pass legislation reducing the timber tax. I helped obtain $25 million in funding from ARPA funds (American Rescue Plan Act 2021) for the renovation project at our county nursing home. This saved our taxpayers a huge amount of interest expense and helped get the project started with strong financial support. I worked tirelessly to get our flood ravaged towns the support they needed when we experienced flooding in 2021 and 2023
- I work hard to protect our Constitutional rights and freedoms. I am unapologetically pro second amendment. I have co-sponsored bills to protect 2nd amendment rights. I support our police, first responders, and our veterans. I am a fiscal conservative and will not support a state income tax or a state sales tax. I believe strongly in election integrity and I co-sponsored and passed legislation to improve voting/ballot counting procedures. I believe in medical freedom. People should have informed consent regarding all medical procedures and not be forced to get vaccinated. After COVID when people died alone in hospitals, I co-sponsored legislation later signed into law ensuring that no hospital patient is denied visitation by family.
- I work together with all of my colleagues. As chair of the NH House Environment and Agriculture Committee I worked in a bipartisan manner to get 85% of my committee’s bills voted on consent (unanimously) to the House floor protecting the environment, helping our farmers, and dealing with animal welfare. I believe while people may have philosophical differences, most of the time we can work together for the interest of our constituents and getting good legislation passed to help all Granite Staters. In 2022 I was awarded the NH Association of Counties “Legislator of the Year Award”.
I am also passionate about education choice and parental rights. Parents know what is best for their children. All children learn differently and should be given every opportunity to find and use learning models that work best for them. While I support our public schools, I also strongly support parents

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
