Judy Morgan
Judy Morgan (Democratic Party) was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 24. Morgan assumed office in 2011. Morgan left office on January 6, 2021.
Morgan (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Missouri House of Representatives to represent District 24. Morgan won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
She was first elected to the chamber in a special election on November 8, 2011. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Jean Peters-Baker (D) resigned to accept an appointment as Jackson County prosecutor.[1] In the 2013-2014 session, Morgan served as Minority Caucus Policy & Member Engagement Leader.

Elections for the Missouri House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Judy Morgan was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election.[6][7]

Morgan won re-election in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 24. She defeated Sarah Gillooly in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated Jonathan Sternberg (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9]

Morgan is married to her husband, Gene. She is a former President of the American Federation of Teachers, Local 691; she has also served as Legislative Chair for the Greater Kansas City Women's Political Caucus and the AFT, Local 691. Morgan has served on the Board of the Missouri Association of Social Welfare and radio station KKFI.[2]
