Jules D. Edwards, III is a judge of the 15th Judicial District in Louisiana. He was elected to this position on November 3, 1992, and was re-elected in 2002.[1][2][3][4] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[5][6]

Edwards, III ran for re-election to the 15th Judicial District.
As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot. [6]

Education

Edwards received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1981 and 1984, respectively. He went on to earn an M.P.A. from Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge in 1994 and a master of strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2005.[7]

Career

Edwards has worked as an indigent defender, assistant district attorney, counsel to the senate's select committee on crime and drugs and as a partner of Edwards and Edwards Law Offices. He then joined the district court in 1992.[3][7]
