Recall campaign

In July 2012, a recall petition was filed against Scrogin. The recall effort is being led by Ginger Hughes, who describes herself as "disgruntled" due to Scrogin ruling against her in a foreclosure case. Julius Engel, an unsuccessful Yuba County judicial candidate, is providing legal advice to recall organizers. The first recall petition was thrown out when petitioners did not complete the necessary paperwork. A second recall petition was filed in August 2012.[5][6]
