Julian Enrique Bermudez hails from San Francisco's Mission District. He was born at San Francisco General Hospital and brought up by an Army soldier and dental hygienist in a blue-collar family. Bermudez's family has been providing the local community with reasonably priced appliances and repair services at Rancho Grande Appliance since 1996. Bermudez's desire for civic leadership was born through his involvement in youth ministries, student government, and wrestling programs during his time at Archbishop Riordan High School. Subsequently, he pursued the study of comparative religions at Chico State University, which deepened his fascination for the subject. Upon nearing the completion of his Bachelor of Arts program, Bermudez made the deliberate choice to join the US Army as an infantryman, following in his father's footsteps. After serving for three years, Bermudez received his discharge from the army and returned to his home in the Mission District to reintegrate into society. When Bermudez is not occupied managing the family business, he dedicates his leisure time to practicing with SF's Fog Rugby Club and pondering how to improve San Francisco through coordinated efforts.
  • I am a mission-born and raised kid who is doing what feels like the impossible to bring about change in my neighborhood. Growing up at Rancho Grande Appliances, my family's small business taught me the value of hard work and selflessness. I want to bring my hard work and passion to San Francisco politics. I've always been politically engaged, and I became frustrated after constantly arguing with people online advocating for our great city. So I decided to go for it and run. I really had no idea what I was in for. In addition, my rivals are unaware of how much I am willing to do for my neighborhood. This isn't just a job for me; it's the beginning of the transformation
  • I decided to run for District 9 City Supervisor because I recognized where we've been and where we are now. We've witnessed how politicians have boosted tech interests across our region, leaving far too many community members behind. There is mistreatment around us; instead of seeking understanding and connection, they succumb to corporate interests that continue to harm us. It does not have to be this way. I am new to the political scene, but not in the neighborhood. I understand the good that our local businesses, shops, schools, and organizations can produce and achieve. I know how to show up, be present, and listen in solidarity with everyone who deserves to be heard. While I am aware of the numerous obstacles we face, I am not
  • My name is Julian Bermudez, and I'm here to make history by taking back our community. City Hall frequently fails to listen to our residents, keeping them in the dark and not giving them the attention they need. Many people have been told to keep quiet and focus on work, resulting in a downward spiral of change. That is why I am running for District 9 Supervisor. As a native of the Mission District, my family's small business, Rancho Grande Appliances, has been servicing this neighborhood for over three decades. I am a young, college-educated veteran with roots in this community who wants to see real growth. You can speak to me and be heard, and I will be more than just your advocate; I will question the status quo and elevate your
My father and grandfather inspire me; both are dedicated professionals who want the best for their family. I too admire Malcom X and aspire to be a public speaker as he was. Because of their examples, I am constantly motivated to protect and advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.
My qualifications are my leadership and my problem-solving abilities.

I learned leadership from the teachers which helped me overcome the fear of educating myself. I learned via the hardship of training and playing various sports. During my time in service, I took a step back from leading and let myself be led. I felt like it was a different way to grow leadership skills from the triumphs and faults of the soldiers who led me.

I earned my problem-solving abilities from the many years I spent working with my grandpa at Rancho Grande Appliances. From when I was able to comprehend simple mechanics, My grandpa has taught me the ins and outs of home appliances. Growing up in a service-based-small business our mantra is “If you can get it done”
To represent the people who elected them, not to treat them as children.
I want to leave a legacy of integrity and a commitment to doing your best every day. I wish to inspire individuals to live by trying and reaching forward, rather than burdening themselves for failing to achieve their ambitions.
When the San Francisco Giants won their first World Series in San Francisco in 2010, I was thirteen years old and witnessed my city light up with joy for the first time. I believe this was the day I fell in love with San Francisco.
My first job was at my family's Rancho Grande Appliances, where I still work now.
The Great Gatsby. It taught me about the complex lives that adults experience. You can strive for lavishness but genuine happiness cannot be obtained by money. Jealousy and hatred can force a person to wreck his own life.
On my Spotify "On Repeat" playlist I have:

Fake ID Coke & Rum Remix - Riton
Boogieman - EBK Jaaybo
Devil is a lie - Tommy Richman
Atmosphere - FISHER

Give It To Me - Matt Sassari
My mental health: I strive to break the cycle of generational trauma, become a better person, end toxic masculinity, and be the person I wish I had in my life for others.
I believe that all candidates should be open about where their money come from. I also believe that elected officials should maintain the greatest standards of appearance and decorum.
