Julie A. Palmer was a Republican Place 20 judge for Circuit 10 in Alabama. She was initially elected to the court in 2010. Palmer ran for re-election but lost in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Education

Palmer earned a B.S. and a master's degree in education from the University of South Alabama. She received her J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law in 1990.[1]

Alabama held general elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016, with a primary runoff on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016.

Nakita Perryman Blocton defeated incumbent Julie A. Palmer in the general election for the Alabama 10th Judicial Circuit Place 20 seat.[2]

Palmer defeated Lee Brannon Powell in the primary election, with 61 percent of the vote. She competed against Agnes Chappell in the general election, earning 50.06 percent of the vote compared to Chappell's 49.94 percent.[3][4][5]
