Julie C. Shapiro-Harris was a candidate for a seat on the Seventeenth Circuit Court of Florida in 2012.[1]

2012 election

Shapiro-Harris ran for election on Aug. 14, 2012, but was defeated by Michael Ian Rothschild after receiving 48.6% of the vote.[2][3]

Shapiro-Harris received a B.A. degree (Psychology and Music) from Emory University, a J.D. degree from St. Thomas University and a Master of Social Work from Florida State University.[4]

Career

Shapiro-Harris spent four years running her own law practice (Law Office of Julie C. Shapiro) in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Since 2004, she has worked as a staff attorney for the Broward County Clerk of Court. She serves in the Domestic Violence Department.[4]
