Julie French is a former Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing the 36th District from 2007 to 2011. French served as Majority Whip.
French was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 18 of the Montana State Senate.

French ran in the 2012 election for Montana State Senate, District 18. French ran unopposed in the June 5 primary election and was defeated by John Brenden (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

2010
French ran for re-election to the District 36 seat in 2010. She did not have any opposition in the June 8 primary. Austin Knudsen ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

On November 4, 2008, Julie French won the seat to the Montana House of Representatives for District 36, receiving 3,112 votes.
