Julie Kunce Field was a judge of the Colorado 8th Judicial District. She was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter, effective January 1, 2011.[1][2] She retired from the court effective October 8, 2021.[3]

Elections

2014

Kunce Field was retained to the Eighth Judicial District with 70.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4] 

Judicial performance evaluation

The Colorado Commissions on Judicial Performance recommended that Judge Field be Retained. The full report is available here.

Education

Field received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1985.[5]

Career

Before her judicial appointment in 2011, Field was the founder and executive director of the Confidentiality Institute. She has also worked as a professor at several law schools.[5]
