Julie Muth Goodman is a judge of the Kentucky 22nd Circuit Court 4th Division. She assumed office on November 21, 2019. Her current term ends on January 6, 2031.
Goodman ran for re-election for judge of the Kentucky 22nd Circuit Court 4th Division. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Goodman earned a B.A. from Transylvania University, going on to receive her J.D. from the University of Kentucky. She was admitted to the bar in 1980.[1] Prior to her judicial appointment in 2008, Goodman was an attorney in private practice. From 2004 to 2007, she was an attorney for the U.S. Equestrian Federation, Inc.[2]

The judges of the Kentucky District Courts are elected in nonpartisan elections. They serve four-year terms and must run for re-election if they wish to serve again.[6][7]
Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must be:[6]
- a U.S. citizen;
- a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
- licensed to practice law for at least two years.
