Julie Plawecki
Julie Plawecki (b. August 27, 1961 - d. June 25, 2016) was a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 11 from January 1, 2015, to June 25, 2016. She died from an apparent heart attack while hiking in Oregon.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Julie Plawecki defeated seven other candidates in the Democratic primary. Jim Rhoades defeated David Malhalab in the Republican primary. Plawecki defeated Rhoades in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
