Julie Taylor is a judge of the Duval County Court in Florida. She assumed office on July 1, 2021. Her current term ends on January 2, 2029.
Taylor won re-election for judge of the Duval County Court in Florida outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
She was appointed to the court on June 11, 2021, by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to replace Ronald P. Higbee.[1]
Biography
Taylor earned her B.A. from the University of Florida and earned her J.D. from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. She began her career in private practice and as an assistant public defender. Taylor also served as an assistant state attorney and served as General Counsel for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court before her appointment to the bench.[2]
