Julius Hoffman
Julius Jennings Hoffman (1895-1983) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Hoffman was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on April 27, 1953, to a new seat created by 64 Stat. 443; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 13, 1953, and received his commission on May 14th. He assumed senior status on February 3, 1972. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his death on July 1, 1983.[1] Hoffman was succeeded in this position by Richard McLaren.
