Hodge highlighted the following issues on her campaign website:

My Priorities

School Enrichment Programs

I want all students to have access to a personalized, well-rounded education that includes music, art and world languages.

Student Achievement

With your support, we can do even more to ensure our students are college, career, and community ready by providing additional early kindergarten programs at school sites, providing more time for enrichment activities, and placing additional emphasis on child nutrition and reducing absenteeism.

Supporting the Whole Needs of the Child

All of our schools must be equipped to meet students’ essential social, emotional and academic needs. We must ensure every student has an experienced teacher and a safe, secure learning environment.

How can we get there?

Supporting our teachers and principals, including paying teachers enough money so they can continue to live in the community in which they work.

Providing our families quality school choices – to address opportunity and achievement gaps.

Equitable distribution of resources for Low Income, Foster, English Language Learners, and Special Ed youth.

Improving District infrastructure and facilities.[13]
