Justice Johnson re-elected to Supreme Court
August 17, 2010
Washington: Justice James Johnson was re-elected to the Washington State Supreme Court in a primary election against attorney Stan Rumbaugh. Since he received over 50% of the vote in the primary, he automatically won re-election and his will be the only name on the November general election ballot. Johnson led Rumbaugh 62% to 38%. Johnson's campaign aide Alex Hayes, claimed that "Experience prevailed." Johnson has heard over 700 cases on the high court and previously spent 20 years in the state Attorney General's Office.[1]
