I have Served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for over 30 years on a part-Time, and Full time basis. I deployed Four times after 9/11 for various types of Operations from Peace Keeping in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to multiple Combat Tours in Afghanistan, as an Infantry Soldier.

I taught Officer Candidate School (OCS) at the Regional Training Institute for five years; three years as an Instructor and an additional Two years as the OCS Commander.

I led the Connecticut State Homeland Response Force (HRF) as a Regional Response Group to combat attacks throughout all of New England (National Region 1), against Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear or High Explosive Attacks.

I worked as the State Senior Intelligence Officer, but had to resign from that position because the Federal Government paid me to work for the Connecticut Army Nation Guard. You cannot be a federal employee and campaign.

On the Civilian side, I worked for over 20 years in a maximum security prison.

I was a member of the Special Operations Group (SOG), for 7 years, conducting high risk operations and transports.
  • I will fight stop government legislative and taxation over-reach, and keep the Federal Government spending to economically manageable levels.
  • I will ensure Foreign Policy is strong and make sure American tax dollars are only spent outside of the US, when it actually is to our benefit, and not to appease other nations.
  • I am very strong on 2nd Amendment and Constitutional Rights.
Keeping taxation low and economic success high, is a must. The state of Connecticut over taxes the people, and businesses, to the point we are reaching an exodus of families.

Military industry, and contracts, play a large role in keeping a tax base and well paying jobs. This must be promoted through the encouragement and funding of technical skills and recruitment of skilled workers, from within and outside the state.

I am a 30 year combat veteran and I will always support the veterans, of all services, throughout the state.
My favorite American historical figure is Martin Luther King Jr.

His vision of an equal society that is viewed through a persons efforts and character is a fundamental necessity for a strong and moral society.

Current politics divides by by race, color, sex, religion and now... political ideology.

We are Americans first. If you believe in MLK, none of the political dividers should matter.

Everyone should be who they want and live the life they want, but everyone should be judged on their character, moral fortitude and self worth. Everyone should stand up on their own two feet and create their own success; thereby contributing to society and the economic growth of our great nation.
One of the biggest characteristics of an elected official, is simply to be honest. People are elected as representatives at many levels of government. In that process, how does a voter possibly know if you represent them if you are not honest about your views and basic positions on any given topic?

To go along with honestly, is moral fortitude. The ability to do what is right regardless of pressure and repercussions. Many decisions are made out of appeasement. A politician needs to be true to his, or herself, and the constituents they represent.

Have a position, have a view or perspective, backed up by knowledge and facts. Fight those fights, based on that knowledge, and those facts. Always place the needs of the American people above your own. That is how we can reach political success and a better American future.
I want America to become United as a Nation.
I want the values we held to become this great nation to once again be held sacred.
The Killer Angels: A Novel of the Civil War.

The historical significance and characters are brought to life.
The realism of battle and the truths of battle are well described.

The decisions of a thoughtful man based on moral truths are significant.

Having previous experience is imperative. Some people can learn as they go, but experience in specific fields, places a person further down the road of Institutional Knowledge.

The military is a great school for Congressional work. In that capacity, I have been responsible for multiple federal budgets. I understand military spending, budget planning and equipment fielding needs. Fiscal Law and Ethics are required to manage these budgets. These are just a few examples of prior experience benefits.

One of the mandated responsibilities of Congress is to declare war. I am a 30 year combat veteran with multiple deployments. The ability to see first hand, the results of sending America's children to war allows for a far greater appreciation of that type of decision making, at the Congressional Level.
America will always face the challenge of keeping the Nation safe from adverse foreign policies and those around the world that would gladly see our way of life fail.

The current challenge is to get our government to stop the collapse from within. We need to disallow political parties from using their jobs and positions to attack the other party. We currently have a government that spends its time fighting and defending their jobs and policies. We need a government that is voted in by the people, which works towards the policies of the elected official that the Americans voted in to office.
The House of Representatives has some committees that lend well to my beliefs and experience.

First and foremost would be the Armed Services Committee. I am a Lieutenant Colonel with combat experience and I have served in Combat under multiple presidents as well as serving under five Presidents to date, while in the Armed Service.

Foreign Affairs is well suited to my knowledge base and falls into the overall security of America, both militarily and economically.

The Ethics Committee is another one that lends well to me. I was an Instuctor at Officer Candidate School (OCS) and taught Ethics. Our current government is not held to basic ethical standards and there needs to be legislation that disallows our Congress to blatantly lie to the American public. America has a great standard for proceedings in our Justice System, yet disregards these basic principles during other proceedings in which truth and justice are equally important.

Homeland Security is yet another Committee I am well suited for. I believe we are a Sovereign Nation and I believe in the Rule of Law.

Finally, Veteran's Affairs is a Committee I have a strong vested personal interest in. The influence, that can do good, is strong on that committee, but veteran's affairs is an issue I will be a part of no matter what I am doing.
