My name is Justin Clark, I'm married to my incredible wife Ashley, who works as a social worker for Fairview at the University of Minnesota. We have two amazing dogs named Ranger and Penny Lane.

I understand the importance of good leadership; the ability to take charge of a situation, listen to all of the facts, as well as the experts, and make an informed decision. I see a point in our nation's history, where it is time for my generation to stand up and make the difference we believe in; not just sit around complaining about the communities we live in.

I have a bachelor's in political science, as well as public administration, and urban and regional planning. I then obtained my master's degree in public interest communications all from Florida State University. Currently, I am running my own small business What's Next Media Group based out of District 51A, which works with small businesses to develop marketing plans in their respective communities. Prior to starting a small business, I worked in a variety of positions. I served in governmental affairs for a non-profit, I worked with the Department of Transportation, and I worked as a director of communications and marketing.
  • Education is the cornerstone of my platform. We are going to solve many of issues by focusing on the future of our community. Someone who understands recent struggles of students, and has taken online classes needs to help make the decisions on their eduction.
  • Our economy is struggling. Individuals and businesses are both having a hard time dealing with COVID-19. We must give people the opportunity the get through this pandemic with the help they need.
  • Transportation is key, having safe, reliable public transportation is essential. We also must not just fix our roadways but improve them to work with smart vehicles in the near future.
COVID-19 has changed the entire face of schooling. Justin believes that as an individual who has taken online classes, he is best fit to make decisions on how online courses shape your child's education. We need youth and energy in the State Capitol. Justin understands the current changes in our education system, and he has a plan how to take it to the next level.

The health of students in our schools, needs to be a top priority. Our student athletes are required to complete a physical each year to ensure they're ready for action. Yet that physical doesn't include an EKG/ECG. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the number one cause of death of student athletes in the United States. Justin will introduce legislation that will require testing of your children's heart, before they take the field.

Everyone has someone close to them who has fought cancer. Information is key in the fight against cancer, and Justin wants to provide everyone in the state the resources needed to know where to find screenings, and how to prepare for what is the most difficult part of peoples lives.

I think District 51A deserves a loud voice in the Legislature, one that will stand up for the convictions of our community, and I believe I'm the one who can best serve if given the opportunity through your vote.
I look up to people who I don't know. Throughout my life, I have witnessed random acts of kindness by strangers, those who see someone in need and jump to their aid. People who do things for their neighbors without looking for recognition, are doing it for a genuine reason, and that is something I admire. I try to live my life with regard for the people around me. If I see the opportunity to help, I choose to do so. Giving examples of such would contradict the purpose of my admiration, however, this is something I truly believe in due to what I have witnessed from random individuals in my communities.
There are many historical events I remember from my childhood prior to this point. However, the biggest thing to happen, that is something none of us will ever forget, is 9/11. I am among the youngest aged individuals who remember where they were that day, I remember my teacher turning on the TV and watching the second plane hitting live. This day changed the world I grew up in. It forced many of us to face adulthood and the real world faster than we had anticipated. People in my generation have older siblings who went to war, and we saw each night as our parents watched the news the number of soldiers who had died that day. It changed our sense of safety and introduced legislation that is still affecting our lives to this day. Those who were young on 9/11, but old enough to remember that day, serve as contemporaries between the youth of this country, and those who have run our communities for many years.
I started working at 15 years old. I worked at a baseball store called 3H in Orlando, FL. From that time on I have always worked. I worked at restaurants and other local jobs throughout high school. In college worked the night shift at Denny's, the day shift at McCormick and Schmick's, and took afternoon classes to pay my bills. I've worked in warehouses, early mornings on golf courses, and set up for weddings. I took whatever jobs I needed, to pay my way through school and afford the bills I had. This hard work led me to success in every job I've had since.
