The November 4, 2014, general election in Dorchester School District Two featured four seats up for election. Incumbents Gail Hughes and Tanya Robinson faced off against challengers Justin Farnsworth, Evan Guthrie, Brian Mitchum and Louis Smith for the available at-large seats. Incumbents Charlie Stoudenmire and Frances Townsend did not file for re-election.
Hughes and Robinson were returned to office, while Justin Farnsworth and Brian Mitchum won their first terms.

Funding
Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report is due after the campaign has closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[1]
