My first job was working as Kindergarten summer school leader for my first two summers in college. I was responsible for a class of approximately 20 rising first graders and preparing them for the changes that come with 1st grade and a full school day. This job taught me patience and improved my communication skills, both of which came in handy when managing a crew in an underground salt mine, which was my first "real" job after graduation. I still keep in touch with some of these students today.
