Justin Zimmerman was the New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance. He assumed office on November 8, 2024. He left office on January 20, 2026.

Gov. Phil Murphy (D) appointed Zimmerman acting New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance on June 27, 2023, to replace Marlene Caride.[1] In October 2024, Zimmerman was confirmed as New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance.

Biography

Zimmerman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Washington. [2]

Prior to being appointed New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance, Zimmerman worked for the New Jersey Department of Banking and Commerce from 2018 to 2023. He served as Chief of Staff. [3]
