Biography
Karriem became City Councilman for Ward 5 Columbus, Mississippi in 2009. He attended Hinds Community College and earned his B.S. from Mississippi State University.[1]

Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Kabir Karriem was unopposed in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Karriem ran unchallenged in the District 41 general election.
