For over ten years I have dedicated my personal and professional time to causes I believe in. From statewide coalition-building within the LGBTQ+ community to one-on-one client services for the homeless population of Sioux Falls, I have spent years advocating on behalf of marginalized communities. I am deeply committed to listening to the voices of community members who have not traditionally had a seat at the table. Driven by past experience, I am determined to advocate for all South Dakotans
  • All South Dakotans, regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation, deserve equal protection and care.
  • South Dakota must continue to strive for innovation and growth
  • All South Dakotans, regardless of socioeconomic status, deserve access to safe and affordable healthcare.
I am an active board member for several Sioux Falls area non-profits. Among these is Establishing Sustainable Connections (ESC), an organization committed to creating and sustaining partnerships within the Black community in addition to providing educational opportunities for the public. Over the past three years of serving on this board, I have helped to organize nearly a dozen educational opportunities within Sioux Falls and planned the annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Through my work with The Transformation Project Advocacy Network (TPAN), I also strives to support and empower transgender youth, young adults, and their families while educating communities in SD and the surrounding region about gender identity and expression. During the past several legislative sessions, I have served as a point of contact on TPAN’s behalf and successfully organized multiple phone banks, and educated community members on their rights as constituents.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in South Dakota

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
