Kalamazoo City Public Transportation Levy Increase (November 2012)
A Kalamazoo City Public Transportation Levy Increase measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Kalamazoo County, which is in Michigan, where it was approved.
This measure authorized the levy of a new millage of up to 60 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation for three years to help pay for public transportation services.[1]

| “ | Shall the City of Kalamazoo Transit Authority Board, County of Kalamazoo, Michigan levy a new millage, an amount not to exceed Sixty Cents ($0.60) per thousand dollars ($1,000) (0.6 mills) of the Taxable Value of all taxable property in the City of Kalamazoo for a period of three years for 2013, 2014 and 2015, to provide public transportation services? If approved and levied in its entirety in 2013 this millage would raise approximately $1,024,425 for the Transit Authority.[1][2] | ” |
