Kamesha Mumford
Kamesha Mumford (Democratic Party) is a member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 26. She assumed office on January 6, 2026. Her current term ends on January 4, 2028.
Mumford ran in a special election to the Mississippi State Senate to represent District 26. She won in the special general runoff election on December 2, 2025.
Biography
Kamesha Mumford earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Mississippi State University and a law degree from the Mississippi College School of Law. Her career experience includes working as a founding partner of Mumford & Mumford Law Firm, co-founder of Mumford Title, LLC, and municipal court judge. Mumford has been affiliated with the following organizations:

- Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
- The Links, Inc. (LeFleur’s Bluff chapter)
- Jack and Jill of America, Inc.[1]
