The Kansas Alcohol, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Kansas on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 15, Section 10. The amendment proposed that the legislature may provide for the prohibition of liquors in certain areas, with the exception that the legislature may regulate, license and tax the manufacture and sale of liquor, and may regulate the possession and transportation of liquors.[1]
