The Kansas Board of Education, Amendment 4, also known as Amendment 4, was on the ballot in Kansas on August 6, 1974, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 6, Section 2. The amendment proposed to provide for a state board of education to oversee state educational interests.[1]
