Three seats on the Kansas City Public Schools school board in Missouri were up for general election on April 4, 2023. The filing deadline for this election was December 27, 2022. Only one candidate filed for the At-large and Sub-district 2 seats, respectively, so those elections were canceled and both candidates were elected.[1] As no candidates filed for the Sub-district 4 seat, the race appeared on the ballot with space for a write-in candidate.[2]
An additional seat, Sub-district 3, was up for special general election on June 20, 2023. The filing deadline for this election was March 13, 2023.[2] No regular candidates filed for this seat. It appeared on the ballot with space for a write-in candidate.
