Kansas City attorney to serve as Jackson County judge

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri: Kansas City attorney Charles McKenzie has been appointed to serve as a state judge in Jackson County. Governor Nixon appointed McKenzie in early June 2011.
McKenzie was selected from a list of three other finalists submitted by a judicial nominating commission.
McKenzie currently practices law at The Accurso Law Firm and previously served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Jackson County from 1988 to 1993.[1]
