The Kansas Redistricting Amendment did not make the November 6, 2012 general election ballot in the state of Kansas as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have created an independent five-member commission to handle redistricting of congressional and state legislative maps. The proposal was introduced during 2012 state legislative session.[1]

Path to the ballot

A 2/3rds vote in both chambers of the Kansas State Legislature is required to refer an amendment to the ballot.
