The Kansas Taxing Bingo, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Kansas on November 5, 1974, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended. The amendment proposed that the legislature shall regulate, license and tax the operation or conduct of games of “bingo” by bona fide nonprofit religious, charitable, fraternal, educational and veteran organizations.[1]
