A resident of Johnson County, Billings hosts "The Right Side," a popular podcast focused on MAGA conservatism that reaches over 2 million listeners monthly. Prior to launching the podcast in 2020, he built a career as a senior executive in human resources. Billings is also an author and self-proclaimed patriot, emphasizing themes of faith and freedom in his work. A practicing Catholic and father of two sons, He entered the 2026 gubernatorial race aiming to succeed term-limited Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly by promoting conservative policies such as tax cuts, his "K-DOGE" (Kansas Department of Government Efficiency), election integrity, Second Amendment rights, bringing Space X and the U.S. Space Force to Kansas, and restoring Christian values in education and society. He is the only MAGA conservative political outsider witha. chance to win the election. Doug boasts about having the same amount of political experience as the American Founding Fathers: NONE! The Kansas establishment Swamp and RINO camps know Doug has a chance to win, so smear campaigns have been slung - but to no avail. I worked 15 years in Pharmacy and in medical settings. I am very well versed in health related issues, including alternative therapies and getting to the root of medical issues vs bandaiding the symptoms. I worked with families all over the state as a parent match with Families Together & helped families navigate issues and advocate for their child. I currently serve in Sedgwick Co on the SCDDO Advisory Board. I love our state and want to see families and businesses succeed and thrive."
