Party: Republican Party

Incumbent: No

Submitted Biography "Doug Billings is a conservative podcaster, business leader, and Republican candidate for Governor of Kansas in the 2026 election. A resident of Johnson County, Billings hosts "The Right Side," a popular podcast focused on MAGA conservatism that reaches over 2 million listeners monthly. Prior to launching the podcast in 2020, he built a career as a senior executive in human resources. Billings is also an author and self-proclaimed patriot, emphasizing themes of faith and freedom in his work. A practicing Catholic and father of two sons, He entered the 2026 gubernatorial race aiming to succeed term-limited Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly by promoting conservative policies such as tax cuts, his "K-DOGE" (Kansas Department of Government Efficiency), election integrity, Second Amendment rights, bringing Space X and the U.S. Space Force to Kansas, and restoring Christian values in education and society. He is the only MAGA conservative political outsider witha. chance to win the election. Doug boasts about having the same amount of political experience as the American Founding Fathers: NONE! The Kansas establishment Swamp and RINO camps know Doug has a chance to win, so smear campaigns have been slung - but to no avail. Billings has received an endorsements from former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Chad Prather: Conservative media personality. Ryan Fournier: President of "Students For Trump""

Election Integrity. NONE of the issues Kansans care about matter if we can't trust our elections. Doug will also advocate that we return to the Founder's intent for "Election Day" not "election month." And he will work with the legislature to make election day in Kansas a paid holiday. This will make it easier for all Kansans to vote and it will create a larger pool of qualified candidates to become election officials to quicken the pace of voting and counting ballots accurately.

Human Life: The first and fundamental right given to us by God. Doug will use a portion of the billions of dollars his K-DOGE initiative will save to provide safe homes for women who have unwanted pregnancies. These safe homes will pay for the mother's medical care and delivery of her baby. If, after the birth, the mother cannot raise the child or does not want to raise it, a vetted family who holds fast to traditional American values, will be chosen to raise the child. Doug will also sign an executive order on his 1st day creating the "Child & Human Trafficking Task Force" and will order the KS Hwy Patrol and National Guard to hunt down the monsters responsible for these crimes.

K-DOGE = The Kansas Department of Government Efficiency. Doug will sign an executive order on his first day in office creating this department and work with the legislature to make it a permanent part of the Governor's cabinet. K-DOGE will audit every department that reports to the Governor's office. It is estimated that well over $1 BILLION of waste, fraud & abuse will be found. This money will be used to reduce/eliminate property and income tax.

Protecting your Natural and Constitutional Rights and Freedoms. Our rights are under attack. From free speech to guns rights to land grabs, we need to protect our families, farmers and businesses. Involvement of people in their community is of the utmost importance to changing your day to day life. Working together to restore hope and protect our values vital to the success of Kansas.

Protecting and valuing ALL life. The unborn, children, disabled and elderly- these parts of our society are the most taken advantage, ignored, manipulated, and harmed. They have a lesser to no voice and we have a responsibility to protect people who cannot protect themselves. All life is precious and valuable.

Education. With so much of our budget going towards a system that is failing our kids, it is time for an overhaul. Money is not reaching our teachers, much less the students. We have leaking buildings, non working hvacs and are churning out graduates who do not have reading or math competancy at grade level, which sets them up to fail in the real world. We need to get back to the basics vs teaching to a test, but instead meeting a child where they learn best. Adding value while not taking away from necessary programs will be key. I will be looking for inefficiencies in the system and working for successful outcomes for students.
