The Judicial Update

August 27, 2012

Kansas: On Aug. 17, Gov. Sam Brownback appointed a new magistrate to the 22nd Judicial District Court: Elizabeth "Libby" Ensley Deiter. Oddly enough, Deiter will replace her husband, Steven Deiter, who left the court in June. Elizabeth Deiter has worked as the Shawnee County Election Commissioner since 1992.

Gov. Brownback stated, "Elizabeth has a wealth of experience serving the people of Kansas. I am confident that she will make an excellent Magistrate Judge for the 22nd Judicial District Court."[1] She will serve the counties of Brown, Doniphan, Marshall and Nemaha.[2]
