Karen Eiten appointed to Thirteenth Judicial Circuit

Illinois: This week the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court announced the appointment of Karen C. Eiten as an associate circuit judge. She will replace William P. Balestri when he retires on July 1st.[1]
Eiten has spent her legal career in private practice and earned her J.D. from DePaul University. Of the appointment, Eiten said, "I am grateful and I am honored. There was, as usual, an impressive array of candidates and that makes it that much more of an honor to be chosen."[2]
