Karen Hyun is the acting Wisconsin Secretary of Natural Resources. She assumed office on January 27, 2025.

Gov. Tony Evers (D) appointed Hyun to the position on December 23, 2024, to replace Adam Payne.[1]

Biography

Hyun has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California’s Stanford University and a doctorate from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to her appointment, Hyun served as the chief of staff of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).[1]
