Karen J. Burrell
Karen J. Burrell was a circuit court judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] The 4th Judicial Circuit is home to the Norfolk Circuit Court.[2] She joined the court on July 2, 2007.[3] The Virginia General Assembly did not re-elect Burrell in 2015, and she stepped down when her term ended on June 30.[4]
Education
Burrell received both her undergraduate degree and her J.D. from the College of William and Mary.[3]
Career
Before she became a judge, Burrell served as a Norfolk Commonwealth's attorney for thirteen years.[3]
