Karen Lansing
Karen Lansing was a judge on the Idaho Court of Appeals. She was appointed to the court by former Democratic Governor Cecil Andrus in June 1993.[1][2] Lansing was most recently retained by voters in 2010.[3][4] Lansing retired from the bench on June 30, 2015.[5]
Education
Lansing received her B.A. from the University of Idaho in 1972. After graduation, she worked as a personnel analyst for the Idaho Personnel Commission. In 1973, she began working for the Idaho State Planning Agency. She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington in 1978.[2]
Career
After being admitted to the bar in 1978, Lansing began working as an assistant city attorney for Boise, Idaho. She then joined the law firm of Hawley, Troxell, Ennis & Hawley in 1979 and became a partner in 1985.[2]
