Campaign website
Lloyd’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
OBTAINING & MAINTAINING QUALITY TEACHERS Ohio students deserve the best education. When people are well trained, prepared and supported in their job, they become confident in their craft and success follows. When teachers and successful, students are successful. RESIDENT EDUCATORS NEED "HANDS-ON" SUPPORT Ohio schools need to provide direct coaching for our resident educators. School districts need to provide Resident Educators with a mentor that can coach them without the stress of having their own classroom. ODE needs to provide funding to the school districts to provide this support. KEEPING QUALITY TEACHERS TAKES ADEQUATE COMPENSATION Higher education is expensive. People choose careers based on many things, but the goal is to make enough money to live well and enjoy the wonderful things life can offer. Let us make the teaching field desirable with comparable compensation to their careers.[2] |
