Karen Marie Otter
Karen Marie Otter was a candidate seeking election to the Cajon Valley Union School District Board of Education in California. She ran against three incumbents and one fellow challenger for three at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[1] Karen Marie Otter lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Three at-large seats on the Cajon Valley Union School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Deanne Markle, Tamara Otero and Jill D. Barto ran against challengers Jo Alegria and Karen Marie Otter.
Barto and Otero won their bids for re-election, but Markle was defeated in the election. Newcomer Alegria was elected to the board.

Funding
Otter filed Form 470 with the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, indicating she did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for her 2014 campaign. Because of this, Otter did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[2]
Endorsements
Otter received endorsements from the San Diego County Democratic Party and the East County Democratic Club. She also received endorsements from several local officials including, Cajon Valley Union Board of Education member Suzanne Mullins.[3][4] A list of her supporters can be found here.
