Karen Ostrye is a judge of the 7th Judicial District in Oregon. She was appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber on June 17, 2014.[1] She ran for election in 2014, winning a new term that expires on January 3, 2021.[2][3]

General: She defeated Tim Farrell in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 75.9 percent of the vote. [3] 

Education

Ostrye attended Portland Community College and Portland State University for her undergraduate degree and received her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.[1]

Prior to her judicial appointment, Ostrye was a partner at the law firm Jaques, Sharp, Sherrerd, FitzSimons & Ostrye.[1]
