Karen Peterson (Delaware)
Karen E. Peterson (b. March 18, 1950) is a former Democratic member of the Delaware State Senate, representing District 9 from 2003 to 2017.
Peterson did not seek re-election to the Delaware State Senate in 2016.
Biography
Peterson acquired her B.S. from Neumann College and then attended Graduate Studies at the Univ. of Pennsylvania. She later obtained her paralegal certification from Widener University and her labor relations certification from the University of Delaware. She also attended Cornell University School of Labor & Industrial Relations, the National Employment Law Institute and the Governor's Center at Duke University. Peterson worked for the Delaware Department of Labor.

On November 7, 2006, Peterson won re-election to the Delaware State Senate from Delaware's 9th Senate District. Peterson ran unopposed in the election and received 8,352 votes.[9] Peterson raised $33,710 for her campaign in 2006.[10]
