Karen Umberger (Republican Party) was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Carroll 2. She assumed office on December 2, 2020. She left office on December 7, 2022.
Umberger (Republican Party) ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Carroll 1. She lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Karen Umberger served in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years and reached the rank of colonel. Umberger serves on the board of directors for The Mount Washington Observatory and the North Conway Rotary Club.[1]

2014
Elections for the New Hampshire House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Syndi White and incumbent Tom Buco were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while James LeFebvre, Frank McCarthy and Karen Umberger were unopposed in the Republican primary. Mark Hounsell ran as an independent candidate. White, Buco, LeFebvre, McCarthy, Umberger and Hounsell faced off in the general election.[6] All three incumbents were victorious in the general election based on the initial votes.[7] However, the official election results found White losing to McCarthy by 39 votes. Umberger and Buco were confirmed as victorious as well.[8]

On November 4, 2008, Umberger ran for the Carroll District 1 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, winning the fourth of four seats with 3,440 votes, behind Tom Buco (D) with 4,180 votes, Gene Chandler (R) with 4,065 votes, and Edward Butler (D) with 3,796 votes, and ahead of Syndi White (D) with 3,174 votes, Gino Funicella (D) with 2,800 votes, Daniel Avery Bacon (R) with 2,566 votes, Sue Wernette (R) with 2,555 votes, and 6 votes for Others.[13]
Umberger raised $1,412 for her campaign.[14]
