The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. District 27 is represented by three delegates. Incumbents Joe Ellington, Marty Gearheart and John H. Shott were unopposed in the Republican primary. Ellington, Gearheart, and Shott defeated Carol Bailey (D) and Karen White (Mountain) in the general election.[1]
