Kari McCrea
Kari McCrea is a judge of the Alaska Third District District Court. She assumed office in 2017. Her current term ends in 2029.
McCrea ran for re-election for judge of the Alaska Third District District Court. She won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
McCrea was appointed by Governor Bill Walker (I) on September 18, 2017.[1]
Biography
McCrea received her J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2001. Her professional experience includes serving as a magistrate judge/standing master in the superior court in Anchorage, clerking for U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge John M. Mason, and working at the Minnesota State Board of Public Defense and the Alaska Public Defender Agency.[1]
