2016

Gorman's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Karin Gorman will fight on our behalf to:

1. Protect the taxpayers from irresponsible legislation such as the truck tolls, 38 Studios, the “Superman” building, and the Pawtucket Red Sox.

2. Eliminate fraud and abuse in our social service programs.

3. Push for all grants to either be included as line items in the budget or eliminated. The way they are currently distributed – at the whim of leadership to hand-chosen legislators – is unconstitutional.

4. Support legislation that will spur economic growth to create jobs in Johnston and Rhode Island.

5. Protect our veterans, seniors, and the most vulnerable citizens from fraud and abuse.[9]
