The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Keith D. Curry (R) and Matthew Harper (R) defeated Anila Ali (D), Karina Onofre (D) and Emanuel Patrascu (R) in the blanket primary. Harper defeated Curry in the general election.[6][7][8]
