Karla Spaulding
Karla R. Spaulding was a federal magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She was appointed to this position on December 29, 1997.[1][2] She retired on February 28, 2019.[3]
Education
Judge Spaulding received her B.A. degree from Western Michigan University in 1975. She then worked as a teacher for two years before receiving her J.D. degree from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1980.[1]
Career
Judge Spaulding began her career after law school as an associate with the law firm Baker & Hostetler. Three years later, she became an Assistant U.S. Attorney. In 1994, she became a lawyer again and worked in this capacity until her judicial appointment in 1997.[1]
